Congratulations in heaven!

We were actually due to celebrate our Luis’s 14th birthday today, but sadly, following a brief, serious illness, we had to say goodbye to him and let him go. We fought alongside him for three days, but sadly lost the battle. 💔 💔 💔

The stage of his life has fallen silent:

• the final curtain has fallen

• the last light has gone out

• the final applause has died away.

We are left stunned and in shock. 😭 😭

Stunned and in shock because it happened so suddenly and so quickly.

Stunned and in shock because Luis was in top form and full of life right up until the end.

Stunned and shocked because Luis was never ill.

Stunned and shocked because we didn’t see this coming at all.

Luis was a very special and unique dog, not just for us.

During Luis’s successful show career, we experienced so much together, had so much fun in the ring and celebrated so many successes. With Luis, we lived a dream.

He was a character with an indescribable aura. Beautiful both in appearance and in character. For us, he was the star of our everyday lives and took on many roles during his lifetime.

He was:

• our loyal and dependable companion

• our cherished family and pack member

• our source of comfort

• our rock

• our cuddler

• our charmer

• our clown

• our everything

• and so much more

Dear Luis, we’ve now had to say goodbye to you. It was one of the hardest days of our lives and our grief is overwhelming, but we’re proud and grateful that you gave us your whole life and all your love, and that we were able to spend so many years with you.

We would have loved to have had more time with you… we 😢 😢 and your mates 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐶 will miss you!

We’ll see each other again one day… until then: run, little Luis, and have a safe journey over the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

As the grief eases, the loving memories of you will still bring tears to our eyes time and again, but they’ll also warm our hearts and bring a smile to our faces.
